ABOUT ME

My name is Kim and I work at a large international accounting firm in Atlanta. I love traveling and adventure. I am always looking to try new things and to meet new people. Before I die, I want to go to every country in the world or close to it. When I travel, I love exploring both big cities and the country. There's so much to see and I love experiencing different cultures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I would love to surf people's couches on my upcoming trips. But I also love to meet people so grabbing a cup of coffee or drink if anyone comes to Atlanta would be fun!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Austin, Texas, Seattle, Washingon, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Berlin, Germany. All were great experiences!I have hosted several times and really enjoyed the experience! So far we have had surfers from the US, Poland, Canada, China, and Australia. The surfers who stayed were pretty awesome.

Intereses

ADVENTURE and TRAVEL! I say that my favorite thing to do is travel- but truthfully the best part of travel is the people. And the best part of life is the people too. More than anything I love hearing people's stories and embarking on new ones with them. Thus why I love meeting new people and trying new things. I am a continual learner and I learn best through experiencing.

I love anything outdoors: camping, hiking, biking, running, rafting, kayaking, sailing. I'm really into photography and dancing, especially swing and salsa. I really love sports, both watching and playing - football, soccer, and ice hockey are my favorites. I also like listening to live music and eating some good food.

Books: My three favorites are Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird, and of course the Harry Potter series...but I read all the time! Recent favorite is Love Does.

Climbing to the top of a Swiss Alp when I was in Switzerland.

Sleeping on a deserted beach on Cumberland island and watching the moon and the sun rise there.

Spent a summer running a hostel in Amsterdam and living with people from all over the world.

Honestly the best thing I have done was deciding to do a 3 month backpacking adventure by myself. It pushed me more as a person than any other experience has. I learned a ton about other cultures, life, and myself. ....And then taking off to do with same thing by myself the next year in SE Asia.
