ABOUT ME

Down to earth, easygoing, a sucker for good atmosphere, honest, book-lover, open minded, spontaneous, but still addicted to my schedule for the sake of having at least some structure. Cooking. Yoga. Drawing. Hiking and trekking. Picknik in the park. I see it as important to go out of your own confort-sone sometimes, trying something new. Love to laugh. I've heard I smile too much, but I don't think there's any such thing as smiling too much. Smile to the world and the world smiles back at you.

PHILOSOPHY

Smile to the world, and the world smiles back. Really, it works. I am motivated by the idea of seeing things change, and to have everything I thought was right, proven wrong.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to think about this like a Project. A project in trust, cultural encounters and fellow optimism about human kind in general. It's the people one meet that makes the journey, and that is what I like about this community. It's not really just couch surfing, is it? It's so much more to it, in which I love. Spread the word!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been hosting, and (most of the time!) enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, I am not able to host anymore, but am looking forward to the day I again can welcome surfers to my home. When I'm back in Norway, I'd love to show you my city, guide you to the Norwegian pastry and food, tell you the few things I know about Norway, or just have a cup of coffee!

I wish I had more time to read fiction than I have. My best reading-experiences so far, I would say is;

Movies? I love movies you can watch a thousand times, and every time you'll discover sometihing new, like "Eternal Sunshine". Can't think of anyone else right now. I hardly ever watch tv-series, but there's two shows that I just have to watch every episode of - that's "Six Feet Under" and "Shameless" (US-version). I love the dark humour! And then there's my guilty pleasure of Bollywood movies..

Music? Well, it changes every week. Right now I'm totally into Bollywood movie music. I kind of listen to all kind of music - from folk music to pop to rap to techno to bollywood to rock. Everything except metal, I guess!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We met a couple of camel-owners on the Camel Fair in Pushkar, India. We asked if they could take us from there to Jodhpur on their camels. So they did. 200 km on the back of an exeptionally good racing-camel took about one week. We slept under the stars, next to the camels. We run out of water the night before we got to Jodhpur, and have never been so thirsty, nor so hungry or dirty - but it was definitly the most amazing experience ever!
