I am Italian but I have spent a good part of my life in other countries and I have friends in many parts of the world. I am curious by nature and never tired to learn new things and be surprised!
I am a positively-oriented, practical, no fuss person. I try to use the earth's resources in a responsible way. I try to help others. I like everything wild and natural. I believe in the power of the individual to make the world better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I am in total agreement with the CS philosophy; because I believe the places we travel to are not just physical places, but also and especially the people that live there. I have always been interested in people from different countries and cultures, in how other human beings go about their daily living , how they solve their everyday problems, how they eat, interact with one another and their environment, what they do to enjoy life. I have learnt a lot in life from other people, and I hope they have from me.

Mostly essay type books (e.g. history, science, feminism)

- expeditions to remote places through thick jungle in Asia
- getting a PhD at the age of 50

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can exchange views on our life experiences, things happening in the world, advice on healthy living, travel
More practically I would love to cook for you and maybe your friends, help you around the house and garden if needed, help you with other things if I have the expertise.
If you are busy, you do not have to spend time showing me around (I am quite independent), but your advice on what to see would be much appreciated
