ABOUT ME
I'm an American living and studying in the UK. When I'm not translating my slightly southern linguistic patterns/phrases for bewildered locals (I was born and raised in Alabama) you might find me reading, playing tennis, walking, traveling, or writing short stories. I'm also a new convert to the jogging/running clique, and I ran my first 5K this year. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2012, and now I'm studying for my Master's in International Relations at the University of Essex. I hope to use this degree in a career at the State Department, a multinational corporation, or a domestic or international NGO. My options are pretty non-specific -- I'm looking for a foot in the door and I'm willing to work hard when I find it.
In the long-term, I want to travel until I'm desperate for a home base to call my own. And then I want to paint a kitchen, buy investment pieces, live with intentionality, grow my own vegetables on a balcony ten floors from real soil, and inspire someone I'm inspired by.
