About Me

My name is Sunny from Hong Kong. Now, I am working in Bonn, Germany. I love traveling a lot and exploring more about different cultures as well as meeting people from other cultural background.

Favourite Food: Chicken Wings, Beef, Seafood
Favourite Drink: Hoegarden

What was your most chaotic / hilarious experience with Internationals so far?
Danced like the professional dancers after drinking a lot XD
In the Brazil experience, the local kids think I am from Japan.

Three unconventional questions that you’d like to ask Internationals:
1) What is your impression to Hong Kong and Hong Kong people?
2) What do you like the most from China?
3) Have you visited to Hong Kong or China before? If so, what is your feeling? If not, are u interested in going to Hong Kong or China?

Which culture are you most interested in and why? German and Latin American.
German because I like their work attitude from the engineering industries to German national football team as well as their beautiful architectures.
Latin American because I have visited Brazil before and I know more about their culture. I am interested in exploring more about their culture and many beautiful places.

Dancing skills (multiple answers permitted):
- Alcohol + music + me = professional

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason is very simple. I want to get connect with the local people so that I can truly know more about the city.

In the past experience of traveling, I always go with my friends and lived in the hostels or hotels. And then, we planned all the things, what we need to do, what we need to go and which food we need try or buy. I think this type of traveling has its advantage because I can go through all the amazing things in a city. But, when I grow up and looked back the photos that I traveled before, I do not feel a lot because I just go there to visit and know the beautiful side of the country.

Now, i want to get in touch with the local people and live like them. It is nothing better to communicate with the local people when you want to know more about the whole city. I can understand more about what the majority think about their city and experience more how the local people live there. What I need is the interaction between the local people.

Last experience of being volunteer in Brazil was great because I got in touch with the local people by gathering with them, playing football with them and so on. Now, when I look back the photos, I feel much more and I always want to come back and get in touch with the local people again. Last time, I worked in a NGO and organized the activities to the children such as playing football with them, teaching them Chinese and taking care of them. I really want to meet them again when they grow up.

For Couchsurfing, I want to meet with people who likes to share more about their life and feeling to me, and at the same time, I also like to share everything to them. And, I believe we will meet again for one day so that I hope we can get in touch afterwards. When u have anythings want to share, I am always here for sure. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Taste in Music: Katy Perry, Eason Chan in Hong Kong

Song which captures your life / your personality:
Your epic fail:
Eason Chan -苦瓜
Bitter gourd (苦瓜)
When I ate the bitter gourd at the first time, I think it is too bitter that I cannot eat it for the next time. When I am growing, I try it again and do not think that it is very bitter or even ‘sweet’ to me. It is like the attitude toward a thing has been changed when I am growing. Now, I am a more open-minded person than before.
