I'm 5 months into my own personal world tour. Started in Durban, South Africa where I'm from, and then went to Joburg to visit some friends, then spent a day in Nairobi, Kenya before two weeks in Dubai. That was followed by a week each in Hong Kong and Tokyo. After all that I met some friends in Thailand for three weeks. And right now I'm in Australia, where my three months here is nearly up. Next is the USA for a few months followed by Europe if I have any money left!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea is to go visit all my friends and family all over the world and make some new friends and have adventures along the way.

I stayed with a friend in Dubai, a hostel in Hong Kong ant Tokyo, and then a hotel in Thailand. I've been living with my brother and his family on the gold coast of Australia for almost three months now. Next up is Hawaii at the end of the month for a week before hitting the rest of the USA!

I've had options to stay with friends in some places, hostels in others, but my goal is really to go for a long time, so Couch surfing served two purposes, cost effective travel, and I get to meet some awesome locals.

I know how proud I am to show off my hometown, which was what I do at every chance I got, so I know anybody who is on Couchsurfing must be an awesome human!

I have a current addiction to Thriller books, all started by I Am Pilgrim. I don't watch as much TV series as I used to, which I miss, but that is probably a good thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once ran for 24 hours to raise money for a friends chemo treatment.

And I have recently sold everything to fund this world tour.

I love to make things, I made most of my own furniture and wouldn't mind helping people make things along the way.
