About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My Great Escape!

ABOUT ME

First of all i find this very difficult but i try to be as honest as possible!

I was born back in the windy December-days of 1987 in Delft in Holland and the first 2 years i was living there and everything was just fine.
Then my parents made a very big mistake of moving to a little village called Pijnacker.
This village had no culture at all (some say no culture is also culture) it looked a little bit Eastern European when you are looking at the architecture of the buildings around you
(the teachers told me how lucky i should be growing up in the west and how to sing my capitalistic prayers every morning)
I might sound a little negative about the place i grow up but that doesn't mean i hated it....
No not at all i had great times over there and it gave me 15 years the opportunity to realize that i will never grow old in a place like this.
When i was 17 i trade my little village back again for Delft (the times i did the cookery-school) and my short student-periode i was living in Delft.
I travelled as much as i could and always enjoyed the times traveling.
After 2 and a half year i quit my school because i was mad and sad about everything and everyone.
I left Holland and i went to the Ship of Fools witch is a traveling boat filled up with artists and musicians (from all over the world).
Who survived with playing theater.
I learned a lot by this way of living and i enjoyed it very much and saw a lot of new ways of thinking and new places.
After some time traveling with this boat i stayed after all in Syros Greece where i lived for 9 months and also this made me aware of some things.
But because i am not very good in staying in one place i left again and traveled around in the Mediterranean area for some months.
After being very broke and losing a lot of weight i decided in September 2009 to return to my homeland.
Where a very good friend of mine gave me a place to stay and rest in Amsterdam...
So half a year later after gaining some weight and a bit of a little saving.
I left Amsterdam half march again and now i am trying to hitchhike to..... hmm actually i don't know yet.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you would like to see
(its not my phylosophy I stole it from Ghandi but i like it)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I beleave that couch-surfing is a very good solution to travel cheap but the main reason is that it shows the traveller a more honest image of place where he or she is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted people and i surfed around europe.
I found out that the most people i met on couchsurfing are great people (ofcourse they give away there couch without knowing you in a time where alot of people are scared). Sometimes you dont have a click-clack but that seems to be quit normal in life...
