Mi hogar es humilde pero limpia, nos encanta recibir a sencillas y buenas personas. Nos gusta ir de paseo, hacer turismo, snorkeling, acampar y en nuestro tiempo libre, viajar y conocer nuestro país y nuestra cultura. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quiero conocer viajeros, tener la oportunidad de darle hospedaje gratuito, y poder ayudarlos a que conozcan a mi Puerto Rico y a los puertorriqueños. No quiero buscar pareja, ni que que los chicos de Couchsurfing me escriban invitando a salir con intenciones románticas. Hago amistades sin fines sexuales. No quiero sonar ruda, pero la realidad es que sólo quiero hospedar y ayudar a la mayor cantidad de viajeros posible siendo honesta y tan real como soy. Y que cuándo vaya a su país ellos me hospeden a mi; un intercambio.

I want to meet travelers, have the opportunity to give them free accommodation, and be able to help them get to know my Puerto Rico and the Puerto Ricans. I do not want to look for a partner, nor that the guys from Couchsurfing write to me inviting me to go out with romantic intentions. I make friendships without sexual purposes. I do not want to sound rude, but the reality is that I just want to host and help as many travelers as possible by being honest and as realy as I am. And when I go to their country, the lodge me; an exchange.

Music, Movies, and Books

Escucho de todo tipo de música y estoy abierta a conocer la tuya. Disfruto mucho de la cultura de todos, es un buen método para mantener la mente abierta y ser personas centradas. En lo personal, disfruto de la música real como la de Residente y Rubén Blades pero aprender otros géneros para mí, es bueno también.

I listen to all kinds of music and I am open to know yours. I enjoy the culture of everyone, it is a good method to keep an open mind and be centered people. Personally, I enjoy real music like Residente "Calle 13" and Rubén Blades but learning other genres for me is good too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

 1. Ir al Yunque  / Go to El Yunque
Y no sólo ir, tienes que subir a la cima y hay que bañarse en las cascadas.
Not only visit el Yunque, but climb to the top and dip in the waterfalls.

 2. Ir al Morro / Go to El Morro
Si tiene niños, volar una chiringa en la grama frente a El Morro será una experiencia inolvidable
If you have children, you must fly a kite with them in the grass in front of El Morro.

 3. Comerse una piragua / Eat a piragua (It’s like a snowcone) 
Típicamente se encuentran piragüeros en el Viejo San Juan y otras plazas de PR. Se raspa la piragua de un bloque de hiejo y se le echa un syrup de fruta por encima.
People who serve piraguas can be found in Old San Juan en other PR plazas. They scrape ice from a block of ice and put fruit syrup on top.

 4. Comer un mofongo / Eat mofongo (Smashed Plantains)
Puedes comerlo solo o típicamente relleno de camarones, churrasco, o pollo
Can eat eat by itself, or typically stuffed with shrimp, skirt steak, or chicken

 5. Hacer la ruta del lechón en Guavate / Go on the Pork Route in Guavate
En carro, puedes estacionar en el corazón de Guavate y luego caminar por los negocios y parque
You get there by car and can park in the heart of Guavate, where you can walk to the local joints and its park

 6. Bañarse en la playa Flamenco, Culebra / Take a dip in Flamenco Beach, Culebra
La playa de Flameco ha sido nombrada muchas veces como una de las playas más hermosas del mundo. Queda en la isla Culebra. Puedes llegar en una lancha que sale desde Fajardo o por avión desde varios puntos
Flamenco Beach has been named many times as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It is in the Culebra Island. You can get there in a Ferry from Fajardo or by plane, from various places.

 7. Hacer kayak en la bahía bioluminiscente de Vieques / Go kayaking in Vieques’ Bio Bay
La bahía bioluminiscente de Vieques es la más brillante del mundo. Es recomendable ir cuando no hay mucha luna y cuando no hay lluvia.
Vieques’s bio bay is the brightest in the world. It is advisable to visit when there is barely any moonlight and no rain.

 9. Ir a las Fiestas de la calle San Sebastián / Go to the San Sebastian St. yearly festival
Las fiestas de la calle San Sebastián atraen decenas de miles de personas. Verás mucha artesanía y eventos culturales.
The San Sebastian Street yearly festival attracts thousands of people. You will see many crafts and cultural events.

El Observatorio de Arecibo contiene el telescopio más grande del mundo. En un momento, científicos lo usaron para la búsqueda de vida fuera de este planeta.
The Arecibo Observatory has the largest relescope in the world. There was a time when scientists used it to find extraterrestrial life.

Me encanta la cocina criolla; arroz, carne a la parrilla. Si vienes a Puerto Rico debes comer lo típico de mi país Mofongo, Alcapurrias rellenas con carne y un buen arroz habichuelas con aguacate. Me encantaría aprender idiomas; francés, mandarín, italiano. También quiero tomar clases de baile.

I love "criolla" cuisine; rice, grilled meat. If you come to Puerto Rico you should eat the typical of my country Mofongo (green plantain mashed with meat), Alcapurrias (cassava or green plantain with meat) and a good rice with beans and avocado. I would love to learn languages; French, Mandarin, Italian. I also want to take dance classes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Trataré de hacer lo mejor posible para que tengas una buena estadía y, si tengo el tiempo, te daré un paseo por varios lugares de interés en el Viejo San Juan, Área Metropolitana o Norte, el Sur, el Este u Oeste del país. Puerto Rico tiene hermosas playas, tres Bahías Bioluminicentes; Fajardo, Lajas y la de record en brillantez mundialmente, Vieques, ríos, deliciosa gastronomía y a mi, que haré lo posible por complacerte.

I will try to do my best to have a good stay and, if I have the time, I will give you a tour of several places of interest in Old San Juan, Metropolitan Area or North, South, East or West of the country. Puerto Rico has beautiful beaches, three Bioluminicente Bays; Fajardo, Lajas and the world record in brilliance, Vieques, rivers, delicious cuisine and me, I will do my best to please you.
