About Me
CURRENT MISSION
A businessman at heart, I seek to borrow a couch and lend a hand.
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Kip! I'm currently a pre-veterinary student studying in Montanta who's caught the travel bug and am finishing my year abroad in Bangkok. I'm extraordinarily low-maintenance and while some say I have money issues I consider myself exceedingly resourceful. That being said, I put effort into my appearance and am as meticulous as a backpacker can be with my hygiene so you don't have to worry about some greasy vagabond leaving skidmarks on your cushions.
PHILOSOPHY
I am idealistic when it comes to justice and passionate about international travel. I absolutely love to read and place trust and integrity above all else. I know that I am driven by intangibles, being satisfied with life, yet never losing the drive to improve. I hold fast to a global vision and have compassion for those without a voice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While a novice to couchsurfing, I am no stranger to hospitality. Our family converted our home to a bed and breakfast turning it into a revolving door of opportunity for conversation and caused me to realize just how much there is to gain from sharing your home.
Interests
Raised in North Idaho, I split my free time between the outdoors and with my nose buried between the pages of a book. Bike, hike, ski, I love it all and never say no to an adventure. I'd rather be doing something than not but I do love a good movie on a cold night or a hot mug of tea on a rainy day. I've got so much to see and do and I can't wait to try it all!

Music, Movies, and Books
Psychological thrillers are my guilty pleasure when it comes to movies. Gimme a good twist at the end and I couldn't be happier. However, I'm far from limited to a specific genre and will give most anything a shot if it's recommended. When it comes to music, I've learned that anything can be enjoyable if you're in the right mindset for it. That being said, certain genres are nearer the top of my list (classic and indie rock, alternative, and folksy stuff) than others (metal, country, and dubstep). I love to read but honestly find it difficult to pour my free hours into reading for pleasure when I spend so much of my time reading for classes. I'm looking to get back into it and always love hearing about a great read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Why narrow it down? I've filled my years and between the two of us, I'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about!
Teach, Learn, Share
Aloo parathas! I worked as a sous chef in a restaurant in India and took away a craving for curry and a bit of culinary knowledge as well. I love to cook and will take any opportunity to help prepare a meal.
