Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, but I don't love being a typical tourist. I want to get to know people and see the things they see and what is memorable to them as they often notice the smaller details during their daily routines, something as a traveler that we might miss.
Everyone has a story.
We're all on planet earth together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?
I was the youngest person, at the age of 8, to climb to the top of Mt. Constance, the tallest peak in the Olympic mountain range in Washington State, USA.
My dad was our fearless leader and my brother right behind him. I'm thankful that a group of mountaineers arrived at the Terrible Traverse just as I had slipped on the glacier and was maybe about to plummet to my death.

I'm a Spanish Teacher by profession, so naturally I'd love to teach you Spanish...if you'd like. Or english, as I understand a lot about grammar, even if I don't always use it ;-)
I know there are several more skills that we could share...I'm always trying to learn and share new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love preparing delicious, nutritious meals. (I eat a Paleo like diet, no grains, alcohol, dairy or sugar.)
I can serenade you if you have a piano. Or I'll join in on percussion instruments if you like to have music jams.
I've been told I'm a good story teller and that I've lived an interesting life. You can decide if this is true.
