About Me
CURRENT MISSION
be brave, try hard, have fun
ABOUT ME
Firsly you say my name "Ket/her" there is no "th" sound in pronouncing it.
I'm told I'm passionate and full of energy, but I also do lazy pretty well. Spontaneous yet structured. Independent. Sleep and good food are crucial to my wellbeing. Kids and dogs are a favorite. I love living in small towns and visiting big cites. Gardening and permaculture get me excited. I wear my heart on my sleeve, so you wont be left guessing how I feel. Ok, so maybe I do have a 12 month plan but I'll change it in the blink of an eye for anything awesome...
PHILOSOPHY
Love is the answer to most of our questions.
Do good and be good.
Protect, conserve and enjoy wild places.
Talk to strangers.
Smile, no worries. Too easy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting/hosting/surfing
As a host I expect my surfers to put their feet up and enjoy my hospitality for the first night, but for any further nights I expect them to contribute food and do their share of the chores.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Cant say any have been bad. What a damn fine bunch of people! To the few freeloaders Ive come across Id like to remind you that doing the dishes, mowing the lawn or picking some wildflowers dosent cost a cent and may make your host not mind that you have eaten all their food.
Interests
Dancing, surefire stupidity, having fun. Playing on rivers and in the sea, bushwalking, camping and snowboarding. Asking questions and listening. Sleeping 8 hours a day. Good vodka, whiskey and tequila. Fashion and clothes, taking photos, gardening, travel, and having a good conversations while sharing a home cooked meal.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Dub(especially NZ), D'n'B and anything I can dance to. Books: Tim Winton is my favorite author. Im really not much of a movie person (had to can Avatar part way, slept through Lord of the Rings) but some have tickled my fancy: The Secretary, Baseketball, Reality Bites, Microcosmos, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Kundin, Himalaya.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well its not amazing to me, but others tell me it is. After a 9 year career in business I gave it up to become an adventure guide. I feel lucky to have found a job that brings me such joy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to sea kayak and how to stay alive on a river.
