Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything from the '60s (my favorite decade) whether it's rock or pop, jazz, gospel, or soul music. I also love modern indie rock or pop music like Belle & Sebastian, Amanda Palmer, Feist, Cat Power, The Vaccines, Amy Winehouse, Alt-J and Gorillaz. I also love great hip hop groups like Outkast and TLC, or innovative rappers like Chance the Rapper and Jamie T. I like lots of different kinds of music. In my mind, good music (or good art is general) makes me FEEL something.

Movies: Anything by Wes Anderson (although the Royal Tenenbaums is by far my favorite), The Sound of Music, American Psycho, American Beauty, The Shining, Donnie Darko, Zoolander, Hot Rod, School of Rock, Silver Linings Playbook, Taxi Driver, 20 Feet From Stardom, Just Like Being There. Once again, my tastes are really varied.

TV Shows: Mad Men (best!!!), Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, Rupaul's Drag Race, Project Runway, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Bob's Burgers, The Twilight Zone, X-Files, Game of Thrones, Chopped.

Books: Harry Potter, Haruki Murakami, John Green, Jeffrey Eugenides, Augusten Burroughs, Donna Tartt, Allen Ginsberg, etc.

My favorite thing to share is music. I like to carry an instrument with me while traveling (typically a ukulele since it is the most portable) and I love singing.
