PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
as a member of SERVAS, i've stayed in the houses of strangers - in my experience, much older than i, but it has been enriching to learn from them and show them that the stereotypes of americans are not universally applicable. though i've done a lot of traveling alone, i was hardly ever actually alone - i shared quarters with all manner of interesting people of all nationalities for days, for weeks, even months.I have stayed in Airbnb rentals and love meeting new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
most recently in india. before that in nepal, in france, in holland.
i've been fortunate to have been taken in by several families throughout my voyaging, and those experiences were often the most rewarding. i stayed with a mother and her two children outside nice in the mountains once and was told that i was the first american ever to stay with them who actually spoke their language. it made up for all the other countries where i didn't have a clue!
Interests
art, music, writing, dancing, mythology, astrology, the way the world works, anything that gets my brain going. yoga, cooking, drawing. convergence.
