Hi there, my name's Kiran. I'm a senior at Michigan State University studying humanities and professional writing. I absolutely love to travel, but because I am a full time student, I have been doing small weekend trips throughout the state. I'm a native to Michigan and the greater Lansing region, but that in no means makes me an expert on all of Michigan. Which is *why* I try my best to visit somewhere new every other month or so. I love going up north all year round.

I've enjoyed meeting new people while couchsurfing. I love hearing of other travelers' journeys and adventures, while learning about where to visit, what to do and how to do it. Mark Twain once said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” This is what I try to live by.

I love to read, go running, take photographs and meet new people. I run an academic club on campus on digital humanities. I work in an art library on campus, work for MSU's advancement/development, and I tutor students.
