ABOUT ME
Well cant say im stereotypically Australian, but I guess Ive got a few of the old cliches in the handbook. I'am of the outdoorsy variety that loves nothing more than grabbing the tent and heading off into the mountains for a few days. I am very concerned about the environment, I'm not over the top about it, but I like people to do the right thing where the earth is concerned. Im very chilled out even for an aussie (thats what my british friends tell me). My sense of humour is a little left of centre but that comes with the territory i guess. Like to learn new things from anyone anywhere so that explains my signing up for couch surfing, and of course do the occasional world trip myself.
PHILOSOPHY
I'd rather live a day as a lion, than a lifetime as a sheep! Not that sheep aren't cool, but I think life is short, get out there and roar (dont eat Zebras in the street though, could get a little messy). Be excited by life, it's not a test, its not an exam you can re-take. Regrets are not constructive, they're distructive, so let it go. When you've managed to nail that one, please tell me how.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've travelled extensively both in Australia and across the globe. Been to all 7 continents and would like to share both my experiences and that of others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Recently I returned from Orebro in Sweden where I was an exchange student. I was arriving into town at like 2.30am and no hostel would even consider letting me in at such an hour. The next option, which i kinda liked, was to pitch my tent on the university lawns. Gotta say it was a near miss for the university, if it weren't for a kind couch surfer (who got up at 2.30am to let me in) I would have setup camp and sang Waltzing Matilda all night by a fire on their lawn.
Interests
Listening to music, real cultural travelling (not Walmart variety tours) reading, mountain biking and hiking are some of my favourite things to do.

Teach, Learn, Share
I come from a farm, currently completing a degree in enviromental science, and a diploma in organic farming. I have developed a good level of understanding where nature is concerned. I have been a dedicated mountain biking for more than 10 years, so maybe I could show a few things on the bike.
