I'm an easy going guy, good to get along with, and always interested in meeting new people. I've always been interested in travelling but I've rarely gotten the chance to do it on account of purchasing our home over 3 years ago. I've been renovating it since, it's come quite a ways. I'm all about DIY when it comes to my home, I've learned a lot about carpentry and home renovations from my father growing up. Then when it came time to college, I decided to pursue a more technically challenging career as a mechanical engineering technologist as well as a machinist.

I enjoy the simpler things in life such as hiking, cycling, sports, music, fitness, beer and food. I like to cook and am always willing to try new dishes. I try to play the guitar sometimes and learn new songs every once in a while.

I think learning about new cultures is very important in this multi cultured world that we live in... And I find it interesting to see how other people live from different parts of the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Scotland and Ireland for June of 2015. We're exploring different ways to find accommodations to help us budget our trip a little more efficiently. So I thought couch surfing would be a great way to meet new people and possibly get locals to show us around if possible.. And that's how I ended up on couchsurfing.org.

I think we'd be willing to take on some fellow travellers as well if everything works out for us.

Well if there is a grocery store near by I would like to get a meal on the go. If theres a job to do around the house i'm a fairly knowledgeable handyman.
