Overview
About Me
I’ve been in the U.S. for almost three years now, and I feel like I’m right on the edge of a new chapter. California is calling me! I’m planning to visit colleges while exploring Los Angeles and San Francisco. I want to understand the energy, the people, the rhythm of life there, whether it feels like home.
I’m Russian-Ukrainian. At 17, I moved to Saint Petersburg on my own to study, and at 19, I made a much bigger move — leaving because of the war and human rights violation, and starting over in the United States. It taught me how to build a life from zero many times. Every U.S. state feels like a different country with its own culture and personality. I would love to travel more! Outside the U.S., Armenia left a deep impression on me with the raw nature, the mountains, and ancient churches.
I’m fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, currently learning Korean, and my goal is speaking 6–7 languages in my lifetime. I’m planning to pursue a law degree in the future, but also exploring fashion as a creative outlet on the side. I like balancing structure with self-expression!
Back in Saint Petersburg, I used to walk 15–20k steps daily without even noticing, just because the city invited you to wander. I still love long walks, hiking, and staying active at the gym. At the same time, I’m drawn to quieter things too: movies with depth, art, psychology, and deep conversations.
I’m naturally observant at first, but once I open up, I’m curious, engaging, and genuinely interested in people. I like understanding different perspectives and cultures. Let’s connect!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I explore California and consider moving there, that kind of experience matters much more to me than any hotel stay! And I love sharing my culture and experience a new one :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different genres depending on my mood! Classical music, rap, pop, rock, jazz, folk, etc.—share your favorite music, I'm always open to discovering something new! :)
One of my favorite classical music is a String Quartet No. 8 in C Minor, Dmitry Shostakovich
When it comes to movies, I usually enjoy psychological thrillers, but I also like sci-fi, historical dramas, and action. Similar with books — also love philosophy!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to a new country on my own at the age of 19 and started building a life from scratch. Moreover, I dedicated my time doing human rights work as a hobby.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I come with three main things: good vibes, good food, and good conversations :)
I can cook Eastern European dishes. I’m a pescetarian, but I cook meat for friends all the time.
I also can share stories — moving countries, adapting, and seeing the world from a slightly different angle. And if you’ve ever been curious about Russian stereotypes, I’m happy to confirm, deny, or dramatically debunk them, haha
