I have a hard time writing about myself: I studied German and English in school and started Chinese later on, but at the university, I switched to Physics (Quantum Physics, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering) and Mathematics. However, I ended up becoming a programmer working at startups and later Google :) Many things changed but I never stop learning and improving, because I never know what might come next. The only remaining thing is that I really like exploring new horizons and pushing myself to the limit.

Currently, I am working as a Software Engineer at Google. My hobbies are reading, boxing, swimming, hiking and obviously traveling :) I've been to over 25 countries and more than 100 cities. I'm interested in many topics that I try to understand better: from neuroscience and economics to foreign languages and physics. One thing that I'm incredibly passionate about is art and ballet: I try to visit the art galleries and theaters whenever I travel to other cities and I read about it a lot. My favorite artists are Escher and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting with other people is something I like a lot because it is a great opportunity to see the world from a different perspective. I have many international friends that live all over the world and getting to know more people is something I'm always happy about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like "Inception" movie but I mostly watch shows when I have time: "Black Mirror", "Mr. Robot", "Silicon Valley" and "Game of Thrones" to name a few.

Nowadays I'm typically reading professional literature, but I also enjoy the classics: Fyodor Dostoyevsky is undoubtedly my favorite author ("The Idiot", "Demons", etc), I also like Bulgakov and Goethe.
