About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet up with a girlfriend in Hellsinki)
ABOUT ME
I am a quite, logical and very friendly neighborhood geek. If I was in an RPG world, I would be a mage. I favor intelligence in place of brute strength. I am also very compassionate and there are very few things I would not do for my friends.
Though I have been raised in Belarus, I consider myself a Citizen of the World. Don't have the passport yet, but hope to get it one day ) I have studied in American University in Bulgaria, meeting with wonderful people from all over the world. Now I plan to visit all of their countries and see first-hand the wonders they described. In the end, I plan to settle somewhere far away. Argentina and New Zealand are among possible choices.
I have just recently joined CS and have not surfed or hosted anyone yet. Big "Hi" to the community, glad to meet you.
PHILOSOPHY
The eternal collection of knowledge and experience. I plan to see, read and feel as much of this realm as possible. Exceptions - anything that makes it harder to continue the quest for knowledge. I believe that humans are visitors to this plane of existence, like tourists that visit from time to time. We all have different reasons to arrive here, I think mine is sightseeing. Until I find a new one, I will stick with it.
I love debates. Truth is born from a good argument among to people, after all. So any parts of my philosophy are open for criticism. I even welcome it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not participated yet and I am still researching all the ways I can contribute to the CS community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet.
Interests
Computers and all of the Geekdom. I am huge fan of video games, especially the RPG ones.
Anime and Manga (subs, please). It is through this media that I first started learning bits of Japanese.
Skiing, hiking, kiting, aikido. I am fond of sports that take you outdoors and let you see the beauty of the nature in unusual ways. I hope to start paragliding and diving in the near future. Currently, I most enjoy downhill skiing on difficult - black - tracks and hiking around mountains.
I am a casual musician also. 7 years in musical school learning violin and piano, also self-taught basics in guitar, shakuhachi(Japanese bamboo flute) and vargan(Northern-Russia small string instrument that is held in the mouth and strung with a finger)
I am also a readaholic - I can spend hours with a book without noticing the flow of time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Comic books - Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman. Also, books by them. Webcomics (The great artists of the Web, I salute you!)
Music - rock, folk, unusual songs and compositions.
I have a special place in my heart for fantasy and Sci-fi books and films. I have been reading them since I could recognize letter and I am even making crude attempts to contribute.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skiing from a mountain in the evening, while a cloud is covering the top. Zero visibility, dangerous cliffs filled with sharp rocks to each side of a small track, surreal and enchanting feeling. Happened several times in Slovakia and Poland.
Teach, Learn, Share
Juggling. I learned basic juggling by myself and I am still learning. It would be a great joy to teach others.
I play some unusual instruments(Shakuhachi, vargan) and would love to show off them. However, I don't carry them with me on travels usually, so warn in advance if you'd like to hear them.
I wish to hear life-stories. I am a good listener and would love to know about others. Hey, it is all life and I love life!
