My mission is to travel everywhere and meet cool and exciting people of all kinds and ages!

ABOUT ME

Well, I won't bore you with all my growing up stories, but I have quite a few funny ones. I come from a family of 5(2 sisters and me, I'm in the middle). So if you're in the same situation, I feel for you! My whole family used to always go on vacation(Europe, Tahiti,Hawii). However, it wasn't until 1995 when I traveled solo to Thailand, Burma and Indonesia that I really got infected by the travel bug. Since then, I've been a traveling fool! I am very easy going and love life and adventure !

PHILOSOPHY

Most of my personal philosophies have been heard before, but I like them. First of all, be happy! You never know when your time is up so, why be anything but happy. There is a saying: You should only worry big things, and EVERYTHING is small. So relax! It's great to have goals in life, but don't wait until your retire to do some of them; you never know what's going to happen in the future. Always be kind to people, what comes around, goes around!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time using CouchSurfing, but not my first time of meeting people and having them stay at my place. In my former life, I use to work at Disneyland. Yes, the original one in California. I also lived only 10 minutes away on foot. So I had a lot of travelers i met on my trips come and stay at my place and got them into the park for free.

Interests

Well, i have many interests but my favorite is traveling! I love seeing different places and meeting cool people! Some of my other interests are SCUBA diving, snow skiing, photography, hiking, biking,trekking and partying.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies: all kinds of them. My favorites are movies that have good plots and actors. In the music catagories, I love pop, rock and roll, jazz, classical. I also enjoy some country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the top of my list of amazing things that I have done was being in the Peace Corps Volunteer. If you're from Europe, it's like being in the VSO(Volunteer Service Oversea). It's where you go to a developing country for 2 years and help the local people. I was sent to Kenya from 1999 to 2001 to help youth and women's groups learn about starting businesses and help them with their existing ones. It was amazing because I got to help so many kind and loving people. Another cool thing I did was went to Rwanda and Uganda and saw the mountain gorillas! In Nepal, The Moa rebels caught us and made us pay ransom.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll share something that I've learned when I was younger. BUT you can't say they are stupid until you try them!! It's great to know if you're on a 48 hour trip on a train, bus or really any where. It's if you have a song going around and around and around in your head there's a magical song that takes the song away AND doesn't leave the new song in your head. It's the song, " I ho, I ho, it's off to work I go ..." from the Walt Disney's Snow White movie. Try it, it works! If you don't know the whole song, email me and i'll teach it to you!
