Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
After many years teaching in Korea i am now finishing up a B.Ed degree to get certified to teach in Canada.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Canadian who loves experiencing different cultures (especially food!). I'm really into outdoor sports and prefer to get away from cities(unless they have some good food for me to eat up!)
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a big fan of Mother Nature and I try to leave as little of a footprint behind me as possible. I'm definitely not a fundamentalist, but I really try to be responsible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love this program and would like to do what I can if anyone happens to be in the same location as myself. When I surf with people, I do so because I think there is absolutely no better way to experience a culture than by staying with locals. My best experiences have always been through couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been a member since 2010 and I have hosted a bunch and surfed a bunch. Always been a pleasure. I love meeting interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a ridiculously slow reader so I prefer to listen to podcasts when I commute. I am a big fan of Joe Rogan and his podcast.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 6 incredible months seeing the amazing biodiversity in East Africa. Ate just about everything I possibly could during my 2 weeks in Malaysian Borneo while hiking thru junglesWith my 3 friends, were the only people on the Great Wall for kilometers.....in a lightning storm (not the smartest idea)Spent 3 months with only one other person on one of the Aleutian Islands off Alaska studying seabirdstrekked a total of 143km around the Annapurna circuit in Nepal, reaching a pass at 5416m (probably the toughest thing I have ever done, the air is really thin up there)
Biked over 2000km from San Francisco to Vancouver with a great friend
Did a Master's degree in South Korea researching seabirds on remote Korean islands.
Teach, Learn, Share
When I surf or host, I really love to have dinner with my host/surfer and share cool stories and delicious food.
