I have hosted a few people and stayed with loads of wonderful friends. And I love the experience I had with CS. But I feel very uncomfortable about the direction Couchsurfing is taking right now to become a "B Corporation". The scandaleous violation of privacy rights induced by the new Terms of Use is just unacceptable. Couchsurfing is claiming its rights on all of your data on Couchsurfing and is free to resell it to external parties. Those data include your pictures, your email, your phone number, information contained in your profile, references or group posts, etc. Note that this change of Terms of Use is considered illegal in most European countries. For those reason I decided to move to an other website (bewelcome.com). It wasn't an easy decicion, but I feel it's a right one.
