About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to pet cats in as many countries as possible

ABOUT ME

Exploring and traveling are super important...but I really love to be quiet at home, reading or resting. Favorite homestyle activities are cooking, canning and gardening. I am gluten free and dairy free at the moment and like to exercise pretty regularly. I like to work for what I believe in which is making art accessible to all and finding ways to brighten the public realm. I professionally pet cats on Tuesdays and like good music...

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes I don't know the answer to this...I know that I strive to lead a life that has happiness, success, and creativity, but there are so many other elements that I believe make a good life...acceptance of others for one. I suppose I believe the most in change...its the only thing that really keeps happening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am open to anything. Right now, I have a roommate who is a couchsurfing vet and she encouraged me to connect. I am super excited to explore the possibilities near and far...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept in everything from a church in rural Mississippi to a king sized bed in Berlin. Like I said, if its soft and there is space, I am in...My least favorite crashing moment was under a set of stairs in the Athens airport...super uncomfortable.

Interests

Public art, animals, gardening, healthy food...yoga...laughing, reading, friends...nooks and crannies, antiques and thrift stores.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: anything fictional from Harry Potter to Dickens; non-fiction would focus on World War 2 and ideas in the creative sector.

Movies: funny ones, old ones...especially Monty Python features and Christopher Guest movies. I love pbs crime shows too!

Music: Right now, I am listening to Ryan Adams and very much enjoying it. My staples are David Byrne, Roger Waters, Tori Amos, and a few more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

pyramids were amazing, but most amazing is the Grotto of Redemption in Iowa.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pickling and pressure cooking are in my vernacular.
Arts administration, non-profit organizational structure, program development, implementation and evaluation.
Mural painting
Any medium in the visual arts minus technical sculpture...
