Hola! We are Luisa (36) and Kirsten (34) from beautiful Hamburg, Germany.

In 2024 we got married, quit our jobs, and decided to take a one-year break to travel and explore the world, especially the Americas. Our journey started in Canada, and from there we have slowly been making our way down to Patagonia.

We are slow travelers who like to take our time to truly get to know the places we visit and, most importantly, the people who live there. We are typical quiet northern introverts but quickly warm up when sharing some coffee, cerveza or mate. We love to talk, learn, share and connect with people from all over the world. Our Spanish is still limited but we try our best and will be able to communicate with you, even if you don't speak English!

¡Hola! Somos Luisa (36) y Kirsten (34) y venimos de la hermosa ciudad de Hamburgo, Alemania.

En 2024 nos casamos, dejamos nuestros trabajos y decidimos tomarnos un año para viajar y conocer el mundo, especialmente las Américas. Nuestro viaje empezó en Canadá y poco a poco estamos viajando hacia la Patagonia.

Viajamos despacio y nos gusta tomarnos el tiempo para conocer bien los lugares y, sobre todo, a las personas. Somos introvertidas y tranquilas, típicas del norte, pero nos soltamos rápido compartiendo un café, una cerveza o un mate. Nos encanta conversar, aprender, compartir y conectar con personas de todo el mundo. Nuestro español todavía es limitado, pero hacemos nuestro mejor esfuerzo y podemos comunicarnos contigo, ¡aunque no hables inglés!

Interests

We were active members in groups advocating for social and environmental causes and are focusing this year on volunteering in communities that practice permaculture and sustainable cooperation and coliving. We're very interested to explore new ways to live, work and communicate that produce better and healthier relationships with other humans and with nature.

If you have recommendations for good food or easy/medium hiking spots, that would be great, too!

Antes participábamos activamente en grupos sociales y ambientales. Este año queremos enfocarnos en voluntariados en comunidades que practican permacultura, cooperación y covivir. Nos interesa mucho aprender nuevas formas de vivir, trabajar y comunicarnos, creando relaciones más sanas entre las personas y con la naturaleza.

También agradecemos recomendaciones de buena comida o caminatas fáciles o de nivel medio

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are great with animals and plants. So if you need someone to cuddle your cat, feed the chickens and help with gardening - we're in!
