About Me
Hi I'm Kirsten! I'm a tall goofy gal with a big heart and a lot of love to dole out. I love adventure, anything that goes fast and kind people.
I grew up in the tundra of Minnesota but moved to Michigan with my family a few years ago and I'll be a senior at Michigan State University in the fall. I just finished studying abroad in Greece for 3 months and now I am backpacking through Europe for awhile.
I'm a huge fan of long conversations, red wine, good eats and doing cool shit. I have a ton of nicknames, I love getting into crazy situations and I'm a no drama type of gal. I think it's important to spread kindness into this harsh world we live in and to be good humans for no reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As much as I love a good hostel, I am also balling on a budget- being a college student who loves to travel gets expensive! This website is a really cool way to meet locals and learn from them because everyone knows they know the best places to see and eat. I want to host people one day but for now I am relying on the generosity of others in this giant kind hearted community of people!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie is She's the Man with Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum- I can quote the entire thing
I love love love all types of music but my favorites are oldies, early 2000s, indie rock and acoustic
Some of my all time favorite artists are Walk the Moon, The 1975, Quinn XCII, Jeremy Zucker and Beyonce
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked the Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii and that was one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I've ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think people need to step out of their comfort zones more often. It challenges the mind in a way that you don't see in everyday life and it really builds character. I think it's especially valuable when things go wrong or unexpected because you get to learn and grow from that experience and put it towards becoming a better, more well rounded person through it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to bring a bottle of wine and just talk, go to dinner, explore the town or do something unexpected. I'm super laid back and easy going, very low maintenance and I get along with just about everybody.
