I speak rusty German ;)

I love hosting couchsurfers. Most of my guests have become friends, including some pretty close friendships. It's been a really wonderful surprise for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from around the world; share travel stories; give and receive advice on travel; make new friends. To see my home city with new eyes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Picasso, Gerhard Richter, Georg Grosz. Midcentury modern art, architecture. Industrial design, product design.
I love blues, dance music; rock and roll, but I will listen to anything; love being exposed to/learning about your favorite music. Music is probably my favorite thing to share and exchange. Food is a pretty close second.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left home at 16, ended up a success.

Teach, Learn, Share

music, cooking

Travel tip for foreigners in the US: there is free wifi just about everywhere - airports, Starbucks, libraries, government buildings, hotels, shops, malls, restaurants, etc. Don't be shy about using it. Also, you can use ANY outlet you find to charge your phone, so carry a charger with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of travel stories, great conversation. I'm a pretty good cook. An adventurous spirit. Open and willing to talk about most topics. Love learning new things.
