Hey everyone,

I'm Kiki from Scotland. As a person I'm easy-going, creative and love to be outdoors or with animals. I am usually the friend who takes candid pictures of everyone else. I'm a huge animal lover and a passionate Vegan.

How did I end up here... after high school I studied Communication Design. I have always loved drawing, painting, basically anything creative. After two years of study (and the fear of being held by the shackles of the matrix), I decided I should travel more to gain a wider perspective on the world and reinstate my passion for creativity again.

I dream of building a small community of like-minded people in nature that provides room for mindfulness, spirituality and creativity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my partner are travelling together and looking for make connections and find places to stay throughout our trip. We love to meet people while travelling and share experiences which are not necessarily the usual touristic spots. I have Couchsurfed using my partners account and I really enjoyed getting a deeper insight of local life, culture and creating down-to-earth, authentic connections. While solo-travelling I was staying mostly in hostels and hadn't considered this as an option! I love the idea of locals/travellers opening their homes to one another and would like to pay this forward to other travellers in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

Japanese animations from Studio Ghibli - my favourite being 'Kiki's Delivery Service' (hence why I get called Kiki). I love the style of animation and these films are so nostalgic and comforting for me!

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is one of my favourite books.

Teachings in creative activities. If you are interested in Digital Design I'd be happy to show you the basics of Procreate as it's very intuitive to use. Also love to help in the garden or with cooking and especially baking!

Always open to learning almost anything new, especially about traditions, culture, animals and arts. Would love to practice the languages I'm learning too.
