Overview
About Me
I'm a Scottish student currently studying physics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
I love skiing, reading and coffee, and am more than partial to a gin and tonic! 🏻
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience new places from a local's point of view... I want find all the cute, independent coffee shops (still in search of the perfect flat white!). The cool, lesser-visited bars where all the best and craziest cocktails are. The restaurants that aren't much to look at from the outside but the food tastes AMAZING! I want to experience all the things you would miss as a regular tourist that make the city what it is.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love historical novels, including anything by Bernard Cornwell! Other personal favourites include The Pillars of the Earth, Ken Follett; As Meat Loves Salt, Maria McCann; and A Song of Ice and Fire (perhaps not quite in the "historical" category...)
I enjoy most kinds of music and am always keen for recommendations! My favourite bands include White Lies, The National, Arcade Fire and Florence and the Machine! (Taylor Swift is a not-so-guilty pleasure.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled 3,000 miles across the Atlantic to live and study in a place where I initially knew no one. (And now have friends from all over the globe!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to share my knowledge of the United Kingdom and countries in Europe and their cultures - I have a lot of travel recommendations!
