ABOUT ME
One boy, one girl, together chasing the Australian dream of the open road and no responsibilities (at least for a little while!) We met at uni 6 years ago and a stint in the real world later, we're more than ready to get our trip of a lifetime started; we can't wait to build our back-catalogue of tell-the-grandkids stories, meeting new, mind-expanding people (like you...?) and excited to experience everything the huge expanse of Australia has to offer.
Laid-back, polite to a fault and sensitive to the situation we find ourselves in (whether you want stay-out-of-the-way or actively-involved type couchsurfers) we like to think we'd make pretty awesome, and more importantly, respectful guests. We can't wait to meet you!
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind; for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We'd like to get really involved in the couchsurfing community, first as surfers, and then as hosters once we've established ourselves in Perth/Melbourne (or wherever we decide to call home for a while). We know people who've had some of their best travelling experiences using this site, and we're hoping that we can one day say the same.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've yet to get started on our couch-surfing experience.
Interests
Open-minded people with amazing stories, a good eye-opening documentary, talking til the sun comes up, kittens, dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books
We're big into documentaries, so anything with a real-life angle. Recent favourites being The Imposter, Black Fish and Blood Brother. Fiction-wise, we love Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, 50 Days of Summer and, of course, Fight Club. We don't watch a huge amount of TV, but there's always time for Breaking Bad.
In terms of books, Henry's into his sci-fi - Iain. M Banks & Co., and I (Kirsty) quite like non-fiction at the moment - current favourite is Beyond Belief, a book about scientology. I studied literature, so I have a soft spot for the classics too - Wuthering Heights etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The standard gap-year sky dive, motorcycle tour into the mountains of Vietnam, India.
Teach, Learn, Share
Unless you want to know how to do a top-notch excel spreadsheet, or you'd like a masterclass in negotiating prices with Chinese factories, we don't have much wisdom to impart. We will however cook you a fairly decent meal, engage you in some lively debate (if that's what you enjoy) and share with you the little we know about the world.
