About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To raise a happy, healthy baby.

ABOUT ME

We are a young(ish) couple from England who have recently become parents! We have been living in NZ since Christmas 2012 and hope to stay out here and raise our baby boy.
We have both traveled quite a bit and plan to continue when baby Oli gets a bit older.

PHILOSOPHY

I have a tattoo saying Carpe Diem, which is my personal philosophy - embrace life and live in the moment.
Stuart (my partner) has a tattoo saying, 'Only regret the things you didn't do' - similar to me, he believes in embracing new opportunities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted many couchsurfers when we lived in the city (they usually heard about our busy shared house through word of mouth)but we aren't as busy now we've moved to the beautiful countryside surrounding Auckland.

Interests

We like to tramp, travel and cook. We also love learning about other cultures and sampling new foods - particularly home-cooked food prepared by our couchsurfing guests ;)

  • fish
  • dining
  • cooking
  • traveling
  • fishing
  • swimming

Music, Movies, and Books

We love music, as does Oli. Stuart is much more passionate about music, movies and books than I am!

In terms of music, our playlists are an eclectic mix with Reggae to Rock on there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling South America was my highlight - swimming with turtles in the Galapagos Islands will always take some beating! But, swimming with Manta Rays in Fiji comes close...

Teach, Learn, Share

Stuart can teach you how to fish and I can teach you how to make a fairy out of felt... we should also have our raised vege beds finished soon, so you could help plant or harvest.
We can take you tramping in the local area and you can see real unspoilt native bush.
