ABOUT ME
You know I live so far from traditional civilization in the middle of Eurasia, that I'm glad to explore as cultures and something new as possible with your help.
Nowadays I am a student of the Higher school of Economics in Moscow, master degree in Urban Development and Spatial Planinng. Before I made a career as a journalist and a political observer in an information agency and TV channel. Currently I'm moving to the architecture. I like high-urbanistic cities and architecture: modern, especially in the Netherlands, and colorful old, for example, in Czech Republic. As for landscapes, I like mountains and lakes both of Switzerland and Scotland (may be because I was born in the Urals?)
What about Ekaterinburg? It's very cold in winter and hot in summer. Its people are nice, active and very funny. I recommend to walk around the City Pond. There are a lot of summer activities by evenings: musicians, dancers, bicycle and boat renting, summer caffes. You really will enjoy staying in Ekaterinburg!
PHILOSOPHY
Hope for the better, strive for the better
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It was invitation of my colleague.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was begun in Europe in 2010. I just surfed long time and I thank a lot all people (Zhenya, Jens, Andreas, David, another David, Othman, Vera, Chris, another Chris, Joost, Daniel, Michael, Tadhg, Fiona, Susanne, Gil, Masha) who approved my requests or let me and my friends to stay with them. Also I thank people who I have met on parties. All this people helped me to explore The World: incredible, amazing, versatile, funny. Now I help other people to explore my part of the World: Ekat and the Urals. I host people and try to do your staying in the city perfect.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Around the world for 80 days, The Smilla's sense of snow, The Count of Monte-Cristo, The Perfume, The War and The Piece, Anna Karenina, The Farewell to Matyora (this is novelle of soviet writer Valentin Rasputin, this is the one book which I read and cryed, but you should have some russian mentality to understand it).
Movies: Metropolis (the most amazing old movie which I have seen). Also my favourite movies coincide with favourite books.
Music: instrumental soundtracks (John Williams, Hanz Zimmer etc.)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like to learn the world by eyes, that's why amazing things associate with places which I have seen. Skyscrapers of Manhattan, especially Times square, Cathedral square in Kremlin, Saint-Petersburg skyline, architectural chaos of Roma, canals of Venice and Amsterdam, swiss Alps, Thames Embankment and New Station of Berlin.
