Overview
About Me
I love adventure and nature. My husband is a mycologist, under his influence, I learn about mushrooms, especially, the edible ones. I also enjoy cooking and experimenting multicultural recipes. I currently made a Moroccan tangi lemon chicken, which turned out not bad. Understanding other aspects of different cultures are exciting exercises through conversations, doing things together such as cooking, hiking and, of course, exchanging life experience. I am easy going, a good listener and story teller as a successful toastmaster.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My husband and I planned to cycling around France with his student and her boy friend but did not work out. Under her recommendation, we go couchsurfing for visiting Ecuador in which our friend Melang spent five weeks at the beginning of 2017. After doing some research on Couchsurfing, we decide to give it a try. New experience making adventures more adventurous with highlight on cultural experiences. This is a very first trial ever. This trial is an unforgettable success. I am persuaded to renovate our extra bedroom for other travelers like us.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked as an HIV organizational advisor in Botswana Africa. This experience is an eye opener.
Ecuador is a very beautiful country and a safe place for travellers. The people are genuinely gentle and friendly, of course, except the tourist traps. We visited a few indigenous communities, I admire their toughness to strive for a living in very challenging environments. In the beautiful landscape, human is just a being in the natural environment like any living thing. The difference is that human creates a habitat for the family and other lives live around them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach anything that I know such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Chinese history, Chinese cooking,
