About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be beyond category, outside of society, and very close to the ground. (Ellington/Smith/Dylan)
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Kyoko. My name means vibrations of sound child in Japanese.
I'm a musician, photographer, filmmaker and graphic designer. In terms of my "occupation," I try to think of myself as a swiss army knife--ready and useful in any situation. I've always pursued projects on my own accord, whether it's making silly live music videos (www.singyoutosleep.com) or creating a short film through kickstarter.
I'm a taurus. I breathe through my senses, and can't compromise them.
I love being in transit. I think of busses and trains as my 9-5 sometimes-- you sit, clock in, and have only a few hours to get whatever you set out to do. I work really well under pressure, and get the most amount of creative work done when I am moving.
PHILOSOPHY
Logic loses. Feelings win.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pierrot Le Fou, Paris, Texas; Don't Look Back, Cap'n Jazz, Pavement, Billie Holiday, Gil Scott Heron, Ray Charles, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, On The Road, Fishtank, Mississippi John Hurt,
usually anything that involves coming-of-age feelings.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing Pierrot Le Fou for the first time. Having Bob Nastonovich from Pavement re-post a silly cover I did of "Range Life" with some friends on his facebook.

My mom always said that recipes were for the rich. She also has this philosophy about relationships that is summed up with the letter H; it's tattooed on my wrist. I'll explain when I meet you.
