ABOUT ME

NB
1) We are NOT in Nelson city but 40km out in the country and well off public transport routes!

2) If you spam/bulk email me and show no sign of having looked at this don't be surprised by a less than enthusiastic response! Mention my partner by name.

3) We have zero regular employment. If you don't have your own transport we may be able to pick you up from the nearest main road (a 5km trip) but not further (there are shuttles that run there). Also we can't afford to feed all the guests we get: be prepared to contribute.

We also host HelpX and Workaway members, and rent our cottage as a B&B (see http://www.bookabach.co.nz/baches-and-holiday-homes/view/21811 if you'd sooner have a simple financial arrangement). Please DON'T ask us to host you unless you've picked us for a reason (and tell me the reason!). Make sure I don't think your request is spam - mention my partner by name.

We're keen to meet people in the usual CS way; if you'd like to stay longer, we have two acres of garden we're gradually taming, and a self-contained cottage you could stay in if you could lend a hand a few hours per day (for a week or so stay). Its an idyllic setting where birdsong is usually the loudest sound.

Love travel and exploring the natural world: experiencing it, photographing it and working to protect it. Have hosted hundreds of travellers with "Servas" over many years.

If your request doesn't do these two simple things we won't be hosting you as I'll be assuming you haven't read this far!

To increase your chances of a favourable response you will need to:
1. Mention my partner by name
2. Name at least 2 of our pets
3. Mention why you would want to stay with us.

Make sure I don't think your request is just a bulk request sent to everyone in the area in an attempt to get free accommodation.

Love learning about other peoples cultures and ways of life, and enjoy reciprocating by teaching about the New Zealand lifestyle. We enjoy sharing our home and lifestyle with travellers.
