About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Back in Queens. Love this place. Happy to share. Close to JFK, which is probably all you'll need to read, really... a mile away from the closest train station, so you get the "neighborhood" feel of Queens, but requires you to be good on your feet/skateboard/bike to get around.
ABOUT US
Livin' in my Indo-Caribbean household once again and happy to share with the right kind of people. Have two little ones... both have traveled abroad and are friendly and curious and energetic. I grew up in NY, then left for TX for grad school, then traveled throughout New Zealand and Asia for three years, learning how to farm on organic homestays, teach English to ESL learners, etc. etc., and lived/worked as a foreigner in China, Thailand, Myanmar, Mexico, Honduras, and Panama.
PHILOSOPHY
I think people should allow themselves to think freely and allow others to do the same. <3

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, it's been hit or miss. If you happen to lack melanin, you're going to have to explain your thoughts on white supremacy to me (mainly why you are against it) before requesting a stay with us. If you do have melanin, come on over. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A giant tree falling in the woods right in front of me due to flooding (and boy does it make a sound). I saw dolphins jumping out of the water at sunrise, dozens of eagles swooping into a lake to eat raw meat, and was chased by bulls and buffaloes on separate occasions. I also did a diving course even though I was terrified of water and taught little kids how to speak English even though I was terrified of them, too!
Teach, Learn, Share
Healthy/vegetarian/West Indian cooking, sharing new music, video editing, writing/editing, resume crafting/critiquing/creating, publishing, teaching English and other subjects in English (ages 3-adults)
