CURRENT MISSION
A well deserved rest.
ABOUT ME
Hello!
As the nickname indicates, we're a kiwi (the girl) and a canuck (...the boy). We spent last summer backpacking around Europe and couchsurfing along the way. Now that we're back home its our turn to return the favour.
We love fun, spontaneous and flexible travel that includes good food (especially organic!)and beautiful scenery. We love music, arts and good conversation. Most importantly we love to laugh...ALOT. We're happy staying in our pj's watching movies, wandering through villages or getting lost in the wilderness.
We're both really interested in and passionate about social justice and believe that responsible travel (i.e. buying local produce, recycling, visiting independent retailers, etc) can reflect this and encourage growth in areas that are under-developed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We had our first CS experiences while travelling though Europe last summer, and loved it! We're now back in Canada getting ready to host our first guests - and even made an appearance at the Vancouver CS meeting last week which we will definately be repeating.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The boy half has couchsurfed through europe, the old school pen pal way, while the girl hald has hosted many a friend or friend of a friend of a friend on her couch over the years. We have now also couchsurfed in Sweden, Norway, France and Germany.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being completely humbled by the love and welcome extended to me by the Cambodian people. All of Cambodia was incredible!
The size of the pizza slices in NYC!
The coast mountains (BC) from the window of a small plane.
Teach, Learn, Share
We love food! Haha, so anyone who would love to teach us traditional cooking we would love. We'd also be very happy to return the favour, there is a certain secret brownie recipe in mind.....(just chocolate, i promise).
Really, we are going to be tourists no matter what since we're 'foreign' but the most important thing to us is to embrace the culture we're in at the time, without trying to make it like what we're used to. We want to see the real, dirty, smelly, noisy world...and then go lie on the beach.
