Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Working to learn about other cultures and spread the theory that people are good people, no matter where they live.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent some time in the car meeting people on the road in the US, and bouncing around Europe after studying abroad by way of family friends' friends and other people met on the way.
Had an excellent stay with Simo and his family in Marrkech, Morocco. Best homeade pita bread!
Since that first experience I have continued to enjoy my time meeting new friends in their homes, and opening my home as well!
Interests
Wild cats and nature, massage, film, video, cameras, contact sports, along with traveling of course! Backpacking and getting into road biking... There may be a race in my future!?

Music, Movies, and Books
film- the Princess and the Warrior- Tom Tykver: my absolute favorite. I am also a fan of cartoon movies- think The Emperor's New Groove, Despicable Me, Finding Nemo, etc. Otherwise, foreign films to get a taste of travel....
book- Tales of a Female Nomad- Rita Goldman Gelding. Apples are from Kazakhstan by Christopher Robbins; travelogues are fun. So is some non-fiction, except when I read about the terrors of war...
music- Smashing Pumpkins, alternative rock, Turkish Pop, and I love Latino music- Julieta Venegas, Aventura, Juanes.....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Waterfall jumping in the Dominican Republic, biking through Hell's Gate National Park Kenya, visiting caves carved by Buddhists, Hindus, and Jainists in India
Teach, Learn, Share
Something I would like to learn: languages.
Learning and Sharing: secrets to the cooking world. I don't like eating so much, but I like cooking and learning new things to cook.
Cultural habits- what is appropriate, what isn't, and how to learn it all
What I Can Share with Hosts
Mm cooking! I like to cook. Good conversation! Tea! Let's talk over endless cups of tea! Maybe even massage! Who knows what our interaction may bring, but certainly it willbe fun!
