ABOUT ME

Gday
I'm a kiwi that's been working in Western Australia since the end of 2008. First with the government now with the dark side of mining. But I'm hoping to use my environmental skills to help mining companies understand environmental management.
Previous to Aus I was living and working in Ireland and the UK for about 3 years. I lived in Newcastle West Limerick working for a chicken company (which has since gone bust) and for a massive waste company called Waste Recycle Group living in Milton Keynes. I traveled around Europe a but never comprehensively as I wanted too. I never did Spain or Holland at all and not that much of Germany (too busy working !). So I have unfinished business in Europe. I hope to get over there again in the next few years.
Previous to Europe I was living and working in NZ since I finished Uni in 2002.
At the moment I work FIFO or fly in fly out because many mine sites are a long way from Perth and from anything else for that matter. My roster is 8 days on and 6 days off - Tuesday to Sunday. So I can host for 6 days if necessary.

PHILOSOPHY

Always treat people how you would like to be treated yourself. A simple statement but so many people tend to get it so wrong.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to participate in hosting surfers. I had a friend who was doing it in WA for the last 4 years and had a ball with it so I have decided to give it a try my self.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had many experiences in couch surfing apart from going to some CS meetings and meeting the people my friend was hosting.

Interests

I have many interests including sport - playing tennis , football , RUGBY !!!! Rugby League , cricket.
I love History , reading novels , checking out art , museums.
I love the Perth pub scene , cafes , great coffee.
Traveling is a passion but I have been too busy furthering my career to travel much in the last couple of years.
