ABOUT ME

I've lived 45 very exciting years, I've been fortunate to live almost half of that in other countries. I grew up in NZ after my parents moved here when I was a baby, but since then I had an addiction to travel! Most recently I lived back in the UK for 7 years and have been home now almost two!

I also lived in the US for ten years; Guam, California, Hawaii and Las Vegas, parts of Asia and Europe. I am fortunate to have travelled a great deal in life and after being in a place for a couple of years I generally get the itch again...

So here I am again, getting itchy! I've declared not to go overseas again until I've seen my own back yard, so in December 2019 I plan to do a NZ road trip, travelling south from Auckland and seeing more of the North Island and as much of the South as possible.

I'd love to meet fellow CS'ers, go to local events, get suggestions, take travel buddies to share cost and of course hopefully do some couch (aka - sleep in my van) surfing with you! I wont have a detailed plan and hope to wing a lot of it, but realize I will need to pre arrange some parts of the trip to work in with others.

I'm also looking for work exchange opportunies if you hear of or know any for short periods of time! Or if you need a house/pet sitter, shout out!

I put my faith in the universe and trust that it will guide me to all the experiences that are ment for me with good mix of excitement and change to keep me on my toes.

I love to meet new people and experience new cultures. I am quite happy just exploring and getting lost in new places for the day.

I've done a little hosting and surfing, but attended lots of the Auckland events both in and out of the city, met some great friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now hosted a few times, it is amazing to connect and meet people from different cultures and learn about other peoples view of the world and life! I have met some amazing people and made some new friends that I look forward to visiting in their home country one day.
