Hey there! My name is Kimberley but you can call me Kim. I love traveling and enjoy doing loads of research before a trip. My goal is to travel around the world, by backpacking! I am just starting to get into it, starting with making sure I only pack essentials and not pack as if I am going to run my own fashion runway when I travel. Ahaha!

I also love learning new things, and at the moment I am learning Italian and Japanese. Well sort of relearning Japanese, as I had studied it in college but due to not practicing it since graduating from college, I have forgotten most of what I have learned, especially memorising the Hiraganas and Katakanas and all - which I feel so bad about because I could remember it really well so it is a shame I did not continue to practice my Japanese once I graduated. All that is going to change though :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people - talk about their life as I am sure it is different than where I grew up. Make new friends while traveling, and to see the best hidden places in one's country that outsiders would not know. I want to know a country from the view of a local, I feel that is one of the best ways to gain experience in different country.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a specific favourite genre of music. In terms of movies, I do quite like comedies and action kind of movies. My favourite book will always include the Harry Potter series as it played such a major role in my childhood, other than that I enjoy reading fiction, horror and mystery books.
