Overview
About Me
Irishman who speaks French, currently travelling Asia with my partner and we're both looking for some friends! We love music, jokes, and sport!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel on a shoestring budget, which I find works to my benefit as I meet all kinds of fantastic people through car-pooling, and I'd like to extend this to couchsurfing!
Interests
Sport is my first true passion! I play football and cricket (in the summer) and have played a whole multitude including Australian Rules and Olympic Handball where I've won Irish national medals. I work as a sports Journalist in Ireland and love covering pretty much any kind of sport you can think of.
My second love is music; I play the drums, and the guitar (badly!) and I have an enormous appetite for music, my music library on my laptop stretches to about 6,000 songs so I'd be happy to exchange some of that!
I also love reading, video games, walking and trying to learn new languages!

Music, Movies, and Books
My music tastes vary enormously; on one side I have what I listened to when I was younger so 90s bands like Blink 182, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, early Greenday, Feeder etc.
Then I have my folks' favourites like The Clash, The Jam, Joy Division, Bowie, A Certain Ratio, Echo and the Bunnymen, The The...
Then you have more modern stuff like Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Modest Mouse, The National, Bombay Bicycle Club.
I also love electronic music and am a huge fan of bands like Alt-J and Fat Boy Slim along with French rap acts I've gotten into since coming over here!
Also if you like Brand New or Death Cab for Cutie we can definitely DEFINITELY be friends!
I'm pretty much a fan of every type of music bar heavy techno, death metal and country!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once travelled for over a day in order to bring my friend back home for lunch with her family; the look on her face was worth it, even if the jellied meat wasn't!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences, my love of language, my music, my sporting knowledge, my database of useless facts, my love of food (and cooking, what I can do!), my good manners, common sense and tidyness; my conversation, my humor, and my fascination with other people no matter where they're from!
