ABOUT ME

My name is Kara and I'm a high school math teacher. I spent three years teaching in Thailand, and I am now teaching near Munich, Germany. I'm outgoing and always up for adventure, spontaneity, and doing something different or interesting.

PHILOSOPHY

Rules I try to live by:
--If you're easily amused, you're never bored
--Always try new things, you never know what you'll like (and I've been told you have to try everything twice before you know if you really like it)
--Instead of regretting things in your past, learn from them for the future
--trust your instincts, otherwise over analyzing will interrupt
--get caught up in the moment because you never know if you'll have another one like it
--No matter what, life goes on

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host people right now, but I'm looking to meet other like-minded people in the area to explore the city with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an amazing experience hosting a couch surfer when I was at IU. We went out to dinner and explored Bloomington. And I've spent nights on several others' couches. I use Couchsurfing to meet new people when I move to a new city, so I am always interested in meeting someone for coffee or drinks.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My favorite recent experiences revolve around scuba diving. I was certified in Koh Tao, Thailand (open water and advanced) and have taken two other diving trips since then.
