About Me
CURRENT MISSION
orienting myself in US city structures
ABOUT ME
I am a very open minded, 24 one year old, Austrian-Egyptian student. I like music a lot and play the contrabass and the bass guitar. I study Environmental Protection and Chemical Engineering in Austria and I am actually spending some weeks in Tennessee.
I love philosophing about everything and nothing, and I want to get to know to as many different cultures as possible, and would like to understand your view on the world.
PHILOSOPHY
You learn a lot about the world and yourself if you try to understand people rather than changing their mind.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to host and surf as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted once while in Knoxville. That was a very good experience.
Met a couch surfer in Portugal who helped me planning my route through the country and showed me some very nice places. He was a very nice guy who I would appreciate to meet again.
Another time I met a couch surfer in Sansibar/Tansania, which was quite nice, too. I am looking forward to maybe hosting for the first time next week
As I always started to look for a couch too late (I don't like planning so much) I unfortunately did not enjoy a couch yet.
Interests
I like music a lot and play the double bass and bass guitar. I used to be more active about that before college, but still I like it. Now I collect most of my spare time for traveling, meeting people and good books.
What I also really enjoy is philosophizing about everything and about nothing. What is time? Is the universe endless? And if no: what is behind it?

Music, Movies, and Books
There are many kinds of music that I enjoy, depending on my mood. I like rock music as well as some metal and gothic stuff. I love relaxing music, spiritual music of india for example, and I enjoy some classic music as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Looking at the stars from the middle of the Sahara.
Jumping from a bridge in Valencia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn about different cultures, in terms of actual daily life nowadays. So I would adore to learn about how normal life happens in your hometown.
I can teach you some German or Arabic, basic programming and engineering related stuff.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I like cooking a lot, I could cook some delicious food for or with you - from simple to experimental.
