About Me
CURRENT MISSION
At present, to find a friendly couch! In the near future, to figure out what I want to do with my life. In the far future, to make sure I'm happy with what I'm doing.,
ABOUT ME
I'm a junior in college and looking to see the world before I have to start the rest of my life! My major is English literature and I am minoring in Spanish and French. I plan on going on to Grad school, or perhaps Law school (I should probably figure that out?). In the mean time, I am living with a family in France and planning lots of side trips around Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just joined CS, but I plan on getting more active with it when I return home from traveling. Right now, I participate by searching for couches to surf!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Looking forward to a great experience!
Interests
Traveling of course! Hope to see as much of Europe as possible by the end of the summer. I am also interested in reading (English major!). My enjoy reading James Joyce and Sylvia Plath, and some of my favorite classics are Pride and Prejudice, Of Mice and Men, and Jane Eyre. I also love contemporary fiction, like The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy, Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie, and magical realism in general.
I also love movies. A few favorites are Love Actually, Pride and Prejudice (BBC version), Robin Hood Men in Tights, Donnie Darko, and I recently enjoyed I Love you Man. Just went to a Tim Burton all night film marathon, so of course I love Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Nightmare before Christmas, etc.
When at home, I love hanging around with my family. They are probably the coolest people ever! My sister has 4 little kids, and I love playing the "cool aunt".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got lost in my thoughts for several hours sitting at the Eagle's Nest in Germany. This was probably the most beautiful view I had ever experienced, and the air was amazingly fresh and crisp. Of course I meditated on the startling contrast between the breathless scenery and the sobering history of that spot.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share my knowledge and experience of traveling Europe and living in the US. I also have a pretty good knowledge of history, literature, and (a few) languages which I would love to share and, alternately, improve by meeting new people.
