I have a lot of couch surfing experiences with my family and I always really liked it! Therefore I decided to create my own profile now.

I really like to meet new (international) people. For my study I've lived for 5 months in Norway, where I met a lot of different international people. I've also been a Buddy Mentor for internationals who where studying in the Netherlands. I really like to learn about different cultures and interact with people from another culture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

TLDR: Watch the Northern Lights in a natural hot spring on Iceland!

In the summer of 2018 I went with a hydrology course on an excursion to Iceland. On our last full day we had to drive from the North to the South over off road terrain for the whole day. This was already an amazing experience, the views were stunning and the driving was an experience. At some moments it looked like we were on a different planet. When we arrived at the location we were going to sleep (Landmannalaugar), we hiked directly from the cars up a mountain, from where we had stunning views. Afterwards we had dinner and during the night we could sit in a natural hot spring. Just when we thought it could not be more perfect, relaxing there from a long day, the sky began to turn green. We could see the Northern Lights! This was the first time in my life that I saw them with my bare eyes, and what a place to witness them!

I can teach some Dutch words and I'm trying to learn Spanish at the moment. Furthermore I just like to have conversations about all kinds of topics, varying from sports to history to culture to politics and climate change adaptation.
