About Me
Hello!
My name is Klara and I am from the Czech Republic. The town I come from is called Tišnov and is situated about 20 km far from Brno, the second largest city of the country. It's a very lovely town, definitely worth visiting! ;-)
I'm currently living in Prague, the capital.
My background is in Waste Management which is basically environmental engineering focused on waste treatment and this topic is of my highest interest everywhere I go.
Even though I'm not religious, I consider myself a spiritual person. I believe in some kind of higher power/wisdom/universe/God/whatever you want to call it.
I love watermelons! 🍉
I'm keen on hiking, listening to music, analog photography, second-hand shopping, hanging out with my friends, reading, sleeping, walking my cute rescued dog, watching documentaries and so on.. I’m a big WNBA fan, I love basketball.
I'm very into hiking and camping, spending all my savings on ever-lighter gear.
My passion and the love of my life is thru-hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to many kinds of music, but one of my favourite bands is M83. I'm keen on electronic music - the rave culture is my ideal world, where everyone can be themselves, accepted and celebrated. I also like Arcade Fire, Tycho, Nils Frahm - a genius pianist, Vitalic, Kiasmos, Susanne Sundfor, MØ, used to love P!nk and Linkin Park...
My all time favourite movie (and book) is the Cloud Atlas. I also like Into the Wild and many others, I watch documentaries often.
My favourite fairytale is The Neverending story.
When it comes to reading, I usually pick something philosophical, with a deeper message, or educational.
I grew up reading The Chronicles of Narnia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went camping in Iceland during winter, which was quite magical! Experiencing free fall during skydiving was amazing too, but the most incredible thing I'll commemorate forever was solo hiking 1,300 km in the Balkan mountains on the Via Dinarica trail.
