I've been couchsurfing in exciting places such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Siberia - but with a different couchsurfing profile (user name: onizou). This is why it looks like I have no couchsurfing experience on my current profile. But believe me, I do! Nowadays I live in Stockholm with husband (user name: jonas hellerup) and small kids, and my life is not always as thrilling as before... but equally intense! And we've actually made long trips with the whole family - to India and Sri Lanka.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing when living in Shanghai and it was great to host visitors and show them 'my' town. Later, I made a long trip overland from Hong Kong to Helsinki and stayed with hosts all over the continent. It was a fantastic way to get an understanding of the places I visited and get to know some people and be part of their daily life.
