Overview
About Me
An old man who has remained young and stay away from the crowd. Through the profession I have been in many parts of the world and have learned that openness and friendliness as well as helpfulness are gladly returned by almost all people in the world. (Unfortunately, this does not apply to all US business people). Today I drive large motorcycle tours across Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and partly also in China. My family accepts this, although with reservations. I am married and have two sons, one of whom works for one of the Big 4 and the other at a university. Despite my age, I am still very curious and enjoy learning from other people. I love to spend time with couples. My humor and and my composure are often contagious, so my travel craziness for many others. And I also think that my lifestyle keeps me absolutely fit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling means for me not only to go from A to B, but to get to know as much as possible of the respective country and the people. Therefore, I have decided to go the best way for this, by stopping with strangers and explore with them city and surroundings and go as a friend if possible. Thereby I am absolutely open for everything thoughtful but also for everything that is fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
Classic just as we rock-pop. I love an opera in Verona just as much as (formerly) Joe Cocker in a hall or Adele over the headphones while riding a motorcycle. Books are a lifeblood for me and I write travel narratives myself.
