About Me
CURRENT MISSION
There is no life, if you are not LIVING. My mission is to experience and live life to the fullest.
ABOUT ME
I am 31 years young and currently live in Washington, DC working in international development. I like to play soccer, i recently got into playing capoeira after learning about it in my time in Brasil and I am currently on an olympic weightlifting team. I love to travel, eat new foods, meet new people and im always stepping out of my comfort zone. I am half Mexican and half Colombian and am on a search to find my roots by not only traveling to my native countries but to visit and experience the different cultures that surround me.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to make the best out of every situation. The glass is half full not half empty in my world. I want to accomplish most if not all of my goals of traveling and being spontaneous before i get married and have children. I believe in being happy and positive energy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I believe in diversity and the importance of mixing cultures. I will participate in couch surfing by traveling to different countries and immersing myself into the culture that surrounds me and being able to bring back a piece of their culture and history back with me to the United States. And vis versa. When people come visit me in the city im currently in, i will introduce them to the culture that creates my community and hopefully they can take that back with them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Recently I couch surged in New Mexico and found out that my host was a CMU alum! The closest form of couch surfing that i have done was when i studied abroad in Brasil and lived with a Brasilian host family for four months. I enjoyed living with a Brasilian family because it allowed me to immerse myself into the country a lot faster. Because this family didnt speak english it forced me to learn portuguese a lot faster (which of course i had no complaints) I was able to experience how Brasilians lived, the foods they ate, and i seriously felt part of the family. I loved every minute of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things that i have done was being able to study abroad in Brasil for 4 months and backpacking through south america for a month. I never though in my wildest dreams that this would be possible, and to actually do it lets me know that there are no limitations to what i want to do in life. And now i just want to be able to travel and the beauty of the world before i die.
Teach, Learn, Share
i would like to learn about people's history, their culture and the symbolic meaning and reasoning of resistance and activism.
