Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some people I met via Couchsurfing shifted my perspective about life in general and what really is important. I think getting a glimpse of somebody else's life often broadens your horizon which is such a valuable thing. I am very grateful for these experiences and the lasting impact they have on me.

I am curious about lifestyles that are different from my own and I love to spend time with people from different countries and backgrounds and getting to know something about their life - so Couchsurfing is a really good opportunity for that.

Seeing a place from a local's perspective is the best and most valuable part of traveling for me.

Interests

I love delicious food, books, wine, yoga, art, sports, countryside, meeting new people and listening to their stories. I'm always up for a nice conversation and I listen more than I talk. You can talk to me about everything.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors are Max Frisch, Anna Seghers, Herta Müller, and Siri Hustvedt. My favorite book is the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern (because it reminds you that the future is never set in stone) and Grasshopper by Barbara Vine. My favorite movies are Leon the Professional, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Lost in Translation, In den Gängen, Gegen die Wand, Patty Cakes, Edward Scissorhands, and Transit. I love the Office and especially Steve Carell.
As you see, I enjoy quite a wide range of literature and movies, and I'm always open for new suggestions.
